Wayne Gates will again push for full service at Douglas Memorial hospital in Fort Erie
Another push by Niagara Falls MPP in demanding the Ford government restore full urgent care services at Douglas Memorial in Fort Erie.
This is part of an NDP motion to get the government to classify hospitals as essential projects in the 2025 budget.
Wayne Gates says Fort Erie families deserve to know health care is close by, not 30 minutes down the highway, and they pay taxes like everyone else, so they deserve it.
The motion asks for long-overdue investments in hospitals province-wide, including around the clock service in Fort Erie.
The MPP adds the premier says everything is fine, but ask Fort Erie families if they feel sick after 8pm, and there's nowhere to go.
