Shane Christopher Neal is a seasoned Canadian broadcaster, author, musician, and media personality with deep roots in the music and entertainment industry.

A familiar voice in Southern Ontario radio and television, Shane is currently a weekend host on 101.1 MORE FM. Throughout his broadcasting career, he has hosted numerous radio programs featuring classic rock, country music, artist interviews, and the stories behind the songs.

Shane is also the creator and host of Drop the Needle, airing Sunday nights on 101.1 MORE FM. Each episode takes listeners inside a landmark album—played from beginning to end—through artist stories, production insights, and the history behind the music. He also brings the concept to audiences through Drop the Needle LIVE!, an engaging multimedia experience presented at special events, listening parties, conferences, and music venues.

As co-founder of BS Live Rocks Entertainment Group, Shane co-hosted and produced a long-running bi-weekly music television series on YourTV. During its 10-year run, which concluded in 2026, the program showcased and interviewed both emerging and established artists from across the region and beyond.

Shane is the host of the Industry 45 Podcast, where he connects with prominent rock and country artists from around the world. He is also the author of After the Encore: Intimate Conversations with Music Legends, released in 2025.

Beyond broadcasting, Shane is an experienced event host, moderator, and speaker facilitator. For more than a decade, he has contributed to major Canadian music-industry conferences, including Canadian Music Week—now known as the Departure Festival.

A lifelong musician, Shane has spent more than 35 years behind the drum kit and remains actively involved in the Canadian music community.
