An increase in new COVID-19 cases in Ontario today.
Officials are reporting 496 new infections and 2 more deaths today.
There were 35,905 tests conducted yesterday.
Out of today's new cases, 334 are in people not double-dosed or whose status isn't known.
As well, there are 265 patients hospitalized with the virus, and 163 people are in the ICU due to COVID-19.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says over 22.1 million vaccine doses have been administered in Ontario.
About 87.3 percent of eligible Ontarians have one shot and 82.8 percent have both.
