Heavy rains possible through the day
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Niagara.
The weather office say rain, at times heavy, will continue today, and there's also a possibility of thunderstorms.
An additional 10 to 20 mm is expected with total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm possible by the time the rain tapers off this evening.
Travelers may experience hazardous conditions and reduced visibility.
The agency also notes there could be flooding in low-lying areas, and you're advised to ensure storm drains are clear of leaves and debris when it's safe to do so.
The rainfall is due to a low pressure system that tracking northeast across southern Ontario today.
