Weather office warns of heavy rainfall heading our way
Environment Canada says rain will move in from the southwest this afternoon as a low pressure system approaches.
Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are expected by the time the rain tapers to a few showers overnight or tomorrow morning..
Locally higher rainfall amounts up to 40 mm are possible in areas that receive heavy downpours during a thunderstorm.
Motorists are advised to give themselves extra time and to watch for ponding on roadways.
