That means 4,600 pharmacies in Ontario will help with mass vaccine efforts
The Ford government has inked a deal that will see pharmacists also be able to administer the COVID -19 vaccine.
The Ontario Pharmacists Association says a pilot project will launch in Toronto, Kingston and Windsor next week, to test out all the steps involved from storing the vaccines to managing booking systems.
Based on flu shot data, Ontario's pharmacists should be able to give about 46 vaccines a day, totaling a million vaccines a week.
