A new joint elementary school has been approved for Wainfleet.
The province is announcing $500-million to build 30 new schools in Ontario and upgrade 15 others.
The new school will consolidate William E. Brown Public School and Winger Public School from the District School Board of Niagara, along with Niagara Catholic's St. Elizabeth.
It will create 469 public school spaces and 49 new licensed childcare spaces.
The new facility will also house 118 new Catholic school spaces.
Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoof says this investment will provide a quality learning environment and new opportunities for the children of Wainfleet.
