Regional Council debated for nearly five hours on Wednesday, but ended up pushing the issue to its next meeting.
A decision could come from the Region on the 23rd.
There are many on both sides of the fence when it comes to mandatory masks.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates hope Niagara moves forward with the idea, saying it would help keep numbers low in the Region.
