Police say it happened last night when the Port Colborne man fired at a house in Welland
A man has been arrested after what police are calling a targeted shooting in Welland.
Officers were called around 7:30 last night to the McAlpine and Lincoln Street area, to find a suspect had fired several shots at a home.
36-year old Jacob O'Neal from Port Colborne is charged with:
- Discharge Firearm into/at a place in a reckless manner
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm knowing it's possession is unauthorized
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose
- Possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order (2 Counts)
- Breach of probation (2 Counts)
- Fail to comply with release order
He has a bail hearing today in St. Catharines.
Police add there were no injuries.
