Flying Saucer has served locals for half a century
It was a party on Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls yesterday marking the 50 year anniversary of the iconic restaurant.
Friends, family, Mayor Jim Diodati and MPP Wayne Gates all coming out to honour the Flying Saucer and its owner Lillian DiCienzo.
On its website the eatery bills itself as " the home of out-of-this-world food at down-to-earth prices."
To mark the occasion yesterday, the diner brought back its prices from its 1972 menu for the day.
For many locals, the "Saucer" was a rite of passage, a place to grab a bite to eat after a night of partying across the ditch.
