Bill bans no compete clauses
The Ford government announcing new rules to help ensure employees have a proper work life balance.
The "Working for Workers Act," requires all Ontario businesses with 25 people or more to have a written policy about employees' rights when it comes to disconnecting from their job at the end of the day.
The new bill also makes Ontario the first in Canada to ban non-compete clauses which stop people from exploring other work opportunities and higher pay.
