Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Niagara.
We could be in for southwesterly wind gusts between 70 and 80 kilometres per hour today.
They should start to diminish later this evening.
Strong winds can easily break tree branches and toss around loose objects.
They could also cause power outages.
