City of Port Colborne has an online survey, also available at city hall until April 14th
City of Port Colborne wants your opinion on whether backyard chickens should be allowed within the urban boundary.
The city says chickens provide fresh eggs, but also companionship and a stronger connection to local food sources.
However, there is concern that having chickens within the city limit brings health concerns, such as avian flu, but also noise and odours.
The survey, which you can find online, but also at city hall until April 14th, also asks questions about regulations in the keeping of urban chickens.
