
Police have been looking for suspect after victim was set on fire in a St. Catharines apartment

Police say they've arrested Rebecca Daignault.
They got a wanted persons call earlier this afternoon in the Queen Street and Welland Avenue area of St. Catharines, and made the arrest.
She has a bail hearing tomorrow, and police are thanking everyone who helped find her.

Police are looking into a horrific attempted murder case in St. Catharines.
Officers were called late Saturday night to an apartment in the Vine and Scott Street area, to find a woman suffering from severe burns to her upper body and face.
She was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Police learned three suspects barged their way in, and used an accelerant to light the victim on fire while she slept.
They add this attack was targeted, and the suspects know the victim.
On Monday, police say they arrested 25-year old Chassidy Archer of St. Catharines, and charged her with:
- Attempted Murder
- Break Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
Police also arrested 30-year old Moises Medeiros of St. Catharines, and charged him with:
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)
- Attempted Murder
- Break Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
They were scheduled for a bail hearing yesterday.
Police are also looking for 37-year old Rebecca Daigneault of St. Catharines, wanted for:
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Attempted Murder
- Break Enter and Commit an Indictable Offence
