Ward 6 saw over 100 mm of rain
The City of Welland saw flooding in roadside ditches due to this weekend's storm.
While the amount of rain that fell throughout the city varies, the City says Ward 6 got the most - a total of 108.7 mm of rain was recorded.
City of Welland and Niagara Region staff teamed up at pumping stations to assist with draining flooding caused by runoff.
Anyone affected by the flooding can visit the City of Welland or the Niagara Region.
As well, several projects are scheduled or underway to prevent surface and basement flooding in the future.
Officials note this is the most rainfall Welland has seen in 50 years.
