Welland City Council has approved a Capital Budget of $62-million for 2020, and a tax rate decrease.
Officials say the average homeowner with a property assessed at $223,109 in 2020, will pay $11.21 less compared to this year.
But that's only for the City's portion of their property taxes.
Council also approved the water and wastewater budget for next year.
It gave the green light to a 6.42 percent rate increase, for those using 75 cubic metres per year. This will increase residential bills from $675 yearly, to $719 yearly.
The City will set aside $8.6-million for water and wastewater projects in 2020.
