Warming centre at Market Square will remain open until 6:00 p.m. today.
The City of St. Catharines has opened a warming centre today to help vulnerable residents stay warm.
The centre will be open until 6 PM today at Market Square.
A limit of 30 patrons at a time will be allowed, and masks will be required.
Masks will be handed out to anyone who doesn't have one.
Typically, the City only opens warming centres when Environment Canada issues a cold weather advisory, however, the City is relaxing requirements as current shutdowns are limiting other options for residents seeking relief.
