NRP believe there are other witnesses, asking them to call police
Two people have been arrested as Niagara Regional police work to rescue people from human trafficking.
Officers started looking into a certain case in Niagara Falls back in July, which led them to arresting a man and woman.
They picked up 30-year old Mariah Wickenden of Niagara Falls on September 4th, charging her with:
- Trafficking in Persons
- Advertise Another Person’s Sexual Services
- Extortion
- Forcible Confinement
- Breach of Probation
She has a bail hearing today.
Yesterday, police arrested 30-year old Brandon Fitzgerald of no fixed address, charging him with the same, he had a bail hearing yesterday.
Police believe there are more witnesses to this, and encourage them to call police.
