Both Toronto and Peel Region's Medical Officers of Health are asking the province to move them into the grey lockdown category of COVID-19 restrictions when their stay at home order expires on Monday.
That would allow some non essential retail stores to reopen but not restaurants, bars, or hair salons.
Both Medical Officers of Health says given their recent case counts it would not be advisable the region's move into the red just yet.
