Proceeds go to support Ronald McDonald House Charities
Every year, McDonald’s Canada franchisees across the country host McHappy Day, in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities and other local children’s charities across the country.
In an average year, Ronald McDonald House supports more than 26,000 families from over 3,400 communities.
Since the first House opened in Toronto in 1981, RMHC Canada has helped over 436,000 families with sick children stay together.
All you have to do is place an order at McDonald's and a portion of your order will be donated to the charity.
As well, for a $2 donation you will receive a McHappy Day heart with a special video message and for $5 you can purchase a pair of McHappy Day socks.
And that's not all.
A pair of Canadian landmarks will mark McHappy Day.
Niagara Falls and the CN Tower will be illuminated in red and yellow, McDonald's iconic colours.
The Niagara Falls Illumination Board says the Falls will light up at 10:15 tonight. for fifteen minutes.
