There’s another outbreak of COVID-19 at St. Catharines Hospital.
Niagara Health says a patient in Unit 2-A tested positive for the virus.
The hospital says the case was healthcare-associated and the patient has been safely moved to the dedicated COVID-19 unit.
Enhanced safety measures have been put in place and Niagara Health is following up with any patients, staff and doctors who may have had contact with the infected patient.
Two outbreaks were declared earlier this month after a healthcare worker tested positive for the virus in two different units.
Niagara Health says those outbreaks will be declared over in the next few days.
