The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre wants your donations to help the needy this holiday season.
You're invited to decorate the tree contact-free at the museum with donations of gently used winter wear items like gloves, mittens, hats and scarves.
Donations will be collected until January 3rd and will benefit Start Me Up Niagara's Out of the Cold program, as well as Community Cares St. Catharines and Thorold.
This year, the museum hopes to collect 1,500 items.
In past years, the campaign was started with programs and activities.
This year, the tradition will continue virtually.
Visitors to the St. Catharines Museum's Facebook page can check out a virtual knitting tutorial, DIY Mitten Tree Ornament Crafts, and the big man in red himself.
