Temporary GST Rebate Boost Starts Today

Canadians who receive the GST rebate can expect an additional lump-sum payment as early as today.

Some good news if you receive the GST rebate.

Starting today, Canadians who are eligible for the rebate can expect some extra cash.

Last month, the Liberal government passed a bill to temporarily double the rebate to help low and modest-income earners cope with the rising cost of living.

This year, inflation has skyrocketed, with the annual inflation rate hitting 6.9 in September.

According to Canada Revenue Agency, payments will be deposited into bank accounts today.

However, if you don't gte the money today, the CRA says you should wait up to ten days before giving them a call.
