You’ll be able to beat the heat at the St. Catharines Kiwani’s Aquatics Centre today.
The city will open the facility as a cooling centre from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. but you’ll only be allowed in the lobby and you’ll have to follow specific COVID-19 protocols.
This includes wearing a mask, sanitizing your hands when you enter and exit the building and standing two metres apart from others.
You should not attend the centre if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or if you’re showing symptoms of the virus.
You won’t be able to buy food or drinks in the centre, but water will be available.
