The City of St. Catharines has decided to extend all facility closures until further notice.
Officials were hoping to reopen City Hall, the rec centres and the arenas on April 5th, but they have decided to extend the closures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
CAO Shelley Chemnitz says it’s necessary and they will continue to monitor the situation.
Essential infrastructure and maintenance work will continue as well.
This may include sewer infrastructure repairs and street cleaning.
You can find a list of all facility closures online here.
