City Hall, St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre among facilities shutting down due to storm
The City of St. Catharines is closing several facilities today due to the weather.
At noon, the following facilities were closed:
- City Hall, Enterprise Centre and administrative offices
- St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
- Russell Avenue Community Centre and Port Weller Community Centre
- The Dunlop Drive and West St. Catharines Older Adult Centres
- St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
- Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre
- Bill Burgoyne Arena
- All branches of the St. Catharines Public Library
- FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre
- Meridian Centre
As well, the St. Catharines Farmers Market will be closed tomorrow.
However, a warming centre will be open from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. this afternoon at Market Square.
Residents are reminded not to park on the street if they can avoid it, in order to allow snow removal crews to work efficiently.
