A delegation from St. Catharines got to participate in this week's virtual AMO conference.
They discussed several local issues with provincial officials including the opioid crisis, funding challenges for shoreline protection and the need for more affordable housing.
They also discussed transit funding and the twinning of the Garden City skyway with Transportation Minister Caroline Mulroney.
The St. Catharines delegation included Mayor Walter Sendzik, Councillor Dawn Dodge, Councillor Lori Littleton, Councillor Karrie Porter and city staff.
Councillor Dodge was also appointed to the AMO's Large Urban Caucus this week.
This means she will help set policy for the association over the next two years.
