Police say 2 people in critical condition, the highway has been reopened
Police are still looking into what happened after two vehicles collided on the southbound Highway 406 this morning.
OPP Sergeant Nicola Morris tells us they closed the road, and the ramps to Westchester Avenue.
She adds they received calls about people driving the wrong way on the highway or ramp, in order to get around the problem. "What happens is often people will do U-turns, or they'll reverse on a ramp, or drive the wrong way... this, for one, is very dangerous driving behaviour, it can cause other collisions, and it's illegal."
She adds a man and woman were hospitalized in critical condition, one of them has been upgraded to serious.
The road has since been reopened.
