This comes as more possible cases of the Omicron variant are under investigation

Ontario's seven-day average of daily new cases is up to 940, a level not seen since early June.

The province's chief medical officer of health will also provide a COVID update today and will likely face questions about the Omicron variant.

Toronto Public Health is investigating its first school case of the new variant in Scarborough.

And the London Middlesex Public Health Unit is investigating a cluster of 30 possible cases of the variant.
