The rumour mill can put this one to a rest

The team's former Captain Jack Eichel is leaving Buffalo.

TSN confirming the Sabres are trading the three time All Star centre to the Vegas Golden Knights.

TSN's Darren Dreger says the Knights will send forwards Alex Tuch and Peyton KRebs, as well as a 2022 first round pick and a third round pick in 2023 to the Sabres.

The 24-year-old Eichel hasn't played since last March when he was sidelined with a neck injury.

Dreger tweeting out "The expectation is Eichel will have disc replacement surgery very soon. Recovery time varies. Everyone hopeful he will be back on the ice in 4 months."
