Niagara residents will have to hang on their dead batteries for a while.
The Region has decided to postpone curbside battery collection.
It was supposed to begin on Monday, April 20th and wrap up on Friday, April 24th.
The Region is implementing temporary changes to waste collection, so collection staff can focus on the weekly collection of garbage, recycling and organics.
All garbage must be inside a bag that’s tied closed.
You can use the smaller kitchen-sized bags, as long as they’re placed inside a container when you bring it out to the curb.
Tissues and other organic materials should be in paper or compostable bags, and they must be tied or rolled tightly before they’re placed in the green bin.
