Personal support workers to get $3.00 more an hour until March 31st, 2022
In a release, the Ford government says it hopes it will help attract and retain workers in home and community care, long term care facilities, public hospitals and those who provide direct support services.
Long Term Care Minister Rod Phillips says "PSW's are the backbone of long-term care, and by improving their work experience in the sector, we will meet our commitment to recruit and retain thousands of personal support workers over the next few years."
The wage enhancement was first introduced in October of 2020.
