Annual awareness event running from November 7th to the 13th.
The province is marking Crime Prevention Week by urging residents to get involved in their communities.
The annual awareness event, which is in partnership with the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, runs until this Saturday.
This year's theme is "Safer Communities, Stronger Ontario."
Some tips for residents to create a safer community include reporting suspicious activity to police, and speaking with loved ones who are at a higher risk of being taken advantage of, including teens and the elderly.
You're also urged to share safety information on social media, and learn how to stay protected from cyber crime, online scams and identity theft.
