Police say Werner Hoefel has been found safe.

Police say Werner Hoefel has been found and is safe.

The NRP is thanking the public and the media for their assistance.

Your help is needed by Niagara regional police to find a missing 70-year old Welland man.

They tell us Werner Hoefel was last seen Wednesday afternoon around 3, in the Lincoln and Denistoun Street area of the city.

He is white, about 6ft tall, 190lbs, with grey hair and grey beard, and usually wears a baseball cap.

Police add they and his family are concerned for his welfare, and believe he may be in the Toronto area.
