Decision made after man injured during arrest in Fort Erie
Niagara Regional police have been cleared of any wrong-doing after a man was arrested in Fort Erie.
It was May 30th when police showed up at house to arrest a man wanted in connection to a child porn investigation.
When they found the suspect inside, there was a physical altercation, but he was handcuffed and taken into custody.
At the hospital, the man was diagnosed with possible rib fractures.
The province's Special Investigation's Unit says there are no reasonable grounds to believe police committed a criminal offense in connection to the injury.
