For the 3rd year in a row, the Town of Pelham has received an award for its financial reporting to the Ontario government.
It's the Financial Information Return award for last year, and it recognizes municipalities that ensure timely, reliable and accurate financial information to the provincial government.
Of the 444 municipalilties, only 20, including Pelham, received the award.
Each municipality has to show financial position and activities, such as assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses.
This information is used by the provincial government as it works with municipalitiies.
