It includes a 3.77% tax levy increase, which the CAO says leads to less debt, more revenue
If you live in Pelham, you'll soon have a better idea of what property taxes you'll pay for next year.
Town council has approved the budget, and that includes a 3.77-percent tax levy increase.
That means an additional $83 per year on an average property assessed at $377,000.
The town's Chief Administrative Officer says this budget means less debt, larger revenues and continued infrastructure renewal and investment.
The 2024 water and wastewater budget will be presented to council in February, when it will also be considered for approval.
The town says each year it takes input from homeowners, and businesses, then prepares a preliminary draft.
That is brought before the mayor and council, they make adjustments, before the final draft is approved.
