Two people charged in connection to a robbery at a Niagara Falls motel.
Charges have been laid against two people following an incident at a motel in Niagara Falls.
Just after 8:00 last night, officers were called to a motel near Main Street and Allendale Avenue in response to a robbery.
A 27 year old female and a 24 year old man were staying in a room.
The man tried to re-enter the room after going for a walk, but the door wouldn't unlock and the female inside wouldn't let him in.
He was let in by management, at which point an unknown male approached from inside the room, threatening the 24 year old with a knife.
The victim locked himself in the bathroom and called police.
While he was in the bathroom, the suspect took multiple items and escaped with the female before police arrived.
Police found both parties in the immediate area, and a search of the suspects turned up fentanyl, crystal meth and Percocets.
Thirty-six year old Peter Blaker of Niagara Falls and 27 year old Kayla Wade of Thorold were both charged with Robbery.
Blaker was also charged for Uttering Threats and Possessions of a Schedule I substance.
Court dates have been scheduled for both.
