It happened Friday night at the Queenston-Lewiston Bridge
U.S. Customs officials say the pair mistakenly ended up on the span and ran right through the inspection area on the U.S. side of the bridge
New York State Police were called in to pursue the pair.
Their car was found abandoned on the 90 West near Dunkirk.
A short while later two people surrendered and were arrested
