Nearly 8,000 charges during long weekend blitz
It was a deadly long weekend on OPP-patrolled roads.
Officials are reporting four deaths in motor vehicle crashes, as well as the death of a boater.
As part of Operation Impact, the OPP laid 7,953 charges.
The most common offences were speeding, seatbelt infractions, impaired driving and distracted driving.
Motorists are reminded to exercise caution while traveling.
