Ontario Top Doc Throws Cold Water On Moving Up Step 2 Start Date

May happen no more than a day or two earlier

Don't count on the province entering Step 2 of its reopening plan sooner rather than later.

Ontario's top doctor throwing some ice cold water on hopes of the province entering Step Two earlier than July 2nd.

Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. David Williams told reporters yesterday he will only consider speeding up Step 2 by a day or two at most.

Earlier this week, the Premier said he would ask Williams about the possibility of moving into Step 2 sooner based on falling COVID case counts and ramped up vaccine efforts.
