Livia Beirnes was found in her burning home
Police are not giving up in solving a 15-year old murder case in St. Catharines.
On August 4, 2010, emergency crews were called to a house fire on Oakwood Avenue, to find 76-year old Livia Beirnes calling for help from the basement.
Police say she was found tied up, and unable to get out, and sadly she died at hospital the next day.
Police determined she had been tied up with Ty-Rap Cable Tie brand zip ties, which at the time were not sold in retail stores.
It's believed the suspect brought the ties to the scene.
Police also believe someone knows something that'll help solve this case.
