Niagara Regional Police are gearing up for more R.I.D.E. checks.
They plan to continue their festive R.I.D.E. checkpoints into early January and on New Years Eve.
Over the past two weekends alone they have stopped nearly 1,200 vehicles across Niagara.
The message for new years is to drink responsibly and have a plan to arrive home safely.
