The SIU says this was in relation to a call for service in St. Catharines for man on methamphetamine
An NRP officer will not face any disciplinary action after a man was hurt during a call for service in St. Catharines.
Ontario's Special Investigations Unit says it was back in October when police were called to a home in the Haig and Carlton Street area, for an unknown trouble call.
This was the 2nd call that day made by the man, who police say was of unsound mind, having taking methamphetamine.
Police tried to talk to him while he was locked in his bedroom, and were asked to meet him in the backyard when he jumped from an upstairs window.
The 42-year old man was hospitalized with a pelvic fracture.
The SIU found no evidence the officer failed to help the man.
