Police are on the hunt for a suspect after an attempted robbery in St. Catharines.
Around 8:15 this morning, the NRP were called after a hold up alarm was received at Avondale near Pelham Road and Kent Street.
Police report that an unknown female entered the store, attempted to steal items, then assaulted a female employee.
The suspect fled on foot before the police arrived.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is described as being about 5'3" and of average weight.
She has dark eyes and blonde hair that was tied to one side coming over her right shoulder.
The suspect was wearing a brown winter coat with gold coloured fur on the hood, grey leggings and black knee high boots.
She was carrying a brown coloured purse.
