The heavy rain and high winds will bring significant waves and higher water levels to Lake Erie.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority has a flood outlook in place, saying Lake Erie’s water levels are about 34 inches above normal for this time of year.
Peak levels are expected this morning, and again this afternoon.
Residents along Lake Erie should pay close attention to the waves and water levels in their area.
The NPCA is urging residents along the Lake to close their storm shutters and stay away from the shoreline.
The flood outlook is in effect until tomorrow morning.
