Niagara-on-the-Lake is joining the growing list of Canadian towns and cities; declaring a climate emergency.
Council made the decision Monday night, after hearing a motion from Councillor Norm Arsenault.
They have also given the green light to a new Environmental Advisory Committee.
It will make recommendations to council, in order to tackle environmental issues and help the town reduce it's carbon footprint.
