But they caution we must remain vigilant in our fight against COVID
In a release, the mayors say they expect the province to move us into the red level of its provincial framework starting Monday, March 1st.
Eleven of Niagara's 12 mayors who signed the release, noting the outstanding job Niagara Health and Niagara Public Health have done to protect us.
They point to those working in long term care and within our health care system who have been on the front lines of the pandemic.
The mayors also thank residents and businesses for stepping up.
But they add with a vaccine months away for many, we must all keep focused on containing the virus, including any new variants.
