Current chief leaving to take post in B.C.
Niagara EMS has a new temporary chief.
With the resignation of Kevin Smith, Rick Ferron will serve as acting chief starting May 6th.
Ferron is currently the Deputy Chief of EMS.
The Niagara Region says he will fill the role for the next few months while they work on an executive search for a new chief.
