Moderate Smoke Risk in Niagara Today

The province's air quality health index says the region will be in the moderate risk category today

Expect some more smoke in the air today.

While there aren't any weather warnings in effect here, Ontario's Air Quality Health Index says the region's air quality will be in the moderate range this afternoon and evening.

South of the border, an air quality alert is in effect for all of Western New York, including Buffalo.

You're advised to limit outdoor activities if you experience symptoms like coughing and throat irritation.

At-risk residents are asked to consider postponing strenuous outdoor activities.
